Virtualization will be better on AMD processors by Zen

Finally, AMD has introduced AMD Zen micro-architecture with some enhancements, improvements and new features recently.

AMD doesn’t have any technology like Intel Hyper-Threading till now but Zen architecture has SMT (simultaneous multi-threading) and AMD processors can compete with Intel processor in virtual environment.

Hyper-Threading is a good processor feature for virtualization and it can improve performance and CPU capacity without adding new physical processor.

AMD Secure Memory Encryption (SME) and AMD Secure Encrypted Virtualization (SEV) are two virtualization features for improving virtual environments security.

We have to wait for first Opteron processor with Zen architecture and test it.
