New Release – STOR2RRD & LPAR2RRD (7.50)
I’ve published many articles about STOR2RRD and LPAR2RRD monitoring software for monitoring servers, OS, storage, SAN, LAN and other devices. XORUX has released new version of the monitoring suites with new features and capabilities. Let’s review the new features, capabilities and changes.
STOR2RRD 7.50 – New Features
Actually, there is no new feature, but some new devices can be added and also there are many enhancements.

- Jira integration
- New alerting rule for all volumes in a storage
- Option to define severity of configured alerts

- Option to set up SMTP server manually
- PureStorage: added virtual capacity
- Dell EMC² XtremIO: added virtual capacity
- Dell EMC² PowerStore: there was a limit for monitored volumes set to 100 by default, fixed
- HPE 3PAR / Primera: added HW alerting for faulty Cage and PSU when CLI is used for storage connection
- HPE StoreOnce V4: added capacity ( User Data, Size on Disk, Ratio ) for VTL, NAS, CATALYST
- Hitachi VSP-G/F: many small fixes and enhancements
- Cisco SAN switch: added count of the licensed ports
- FreeNAS / TrueNAS: support for v12+ storage firmware
- DataCore: support for SAN topology
- IBM FlashSystem / Storwize: FlashCopy Freeze Time added to the table
- Promise vTrack: health status enhancements
- Promise vTrack: small fixes and enhancements
- Rubrik
- Option to add more nodes into the configuration
- Support for token-based authorization
I should check Jira integration; this new alerting feature is interesting to me.
LPAR2RRD 7.50 – New Features
LPAR2RRD 7.50 has no new feature, and all changes are enhancement for current features.
Alerting feature enhancements are much interesting because you cannot put your eyes on monitor.
