Good Bye Party, When and Where?
Yes, you have to plan a party for your hardware providers, where? At you datacenter. When? The End of General Support for vSphere 6.0 is March 12, 2020.
Why Party?
Technical Guidance for vSphere 6.0 is available until March 12, 2022 primarily through the self-help portal. During the Technical Guidance phase, VMware does not offer new hardware support, server/client/guest OS updates, new security patches or bug fixes unless otherwise noted.
To maintain your full level of Support and Subscription Services, VMware recommends upgrading to vSphere 6.5 or vSphere 6.7. VMware has extended the general support for vSphere 6.5 to a full five years from date of release, which means the general support for vSphere 6.5 will end on November 15, 2021. The End of General support for vSphere 6.7 will also be on November 15, 2021.
When you have to upgrade vSphere to newer version, sometimes have to replace older hardware with newer. It has cost for you, so you are planning a party for your hardware provider. Of curse, you can replace lot of old servers with fewer new server.
